My name is Laurentina Hernandez, but I go by Laura. I lived in Washington State but I am originally from California. We moved to Idaho back in 2002. I have been married to my best friend for almost 25 years now and we have three children. I have been working in childcare for 26 years, 19 of those years with Giraffe Laugh. I am blessed to have found a childcare center here in the Treasure Valley that has the same dream that I have to help others that are in need. I love to see the children grow and be ready for kindergarten and that is what Giraffe Laugh does for the families. Giraffe Laugh holds a special place in my heart! Giraffe Laugh is more than just a job… it’s family too. I love to help the children learn, watch them grow and get to know the families. I have seen so many of the children grow in a multitude of ways. The best part of my job is having the children come up to you and tell you the different stories. They come up with some fascinating ones. I also love talking with parents and helping them as much as I can. Throughout the years here at Giraffe Laugh I was able to obtain my Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, my Bachelor’s Degree with four certificates in Leadership, Human Relations, Habilitative Services and a Spanish certificate. If I am not at work you will see me reading, watching a movie or spending time with my family.
We can see the future from here!
