My professional background is rooted in nonprofit development, fundraising, and community engagement, and I’ve always been drawn to mission-driven work that brings people together in meaningful ways. I love building relationships with members of the community and helping connect them to causes that make a lasting impact for children and families.
As a new mom, I know how important it is to have access to supportive, nurturing, and high-quality early learning environments, not just for children, but for parents navigating the chaos and joy of early parenthood too. What draws me to Giraffe Laugh is the way it creates community around families during such an important stage of life. Knowing the organization helps give children a strong start while also supporting their parents and caregivers in the day-to-day realities of raising young kids makes the work feel incredibly meaningful to me.
I grew up near Lake Michigan, where life revolved around being outside. Summers were spent on the water and winters were all about finding ways to stay active even in the extreme cold. That environment gave me an appreciation for community, adventure, and the kind of childhood experiences that help kids build confidence, independence, and curiosity. These days, not much has changed! Outside of work you can usually find me hiking, biking, skiing, or relaxing by the river with my family.
