Karen Mackay-Smisek

Assistant Site Director at Giraffe Laugh in Kuna

Hello!  My name is Karen.

I am new to Giraffe Laugh, and I am so excited to be a part of this organization.  I look forward to helping children learn and grow and to empower families.  I love to observe how children learn and figure things out.  It’s amazing!

I have been working with and for children for many years.  I have a BS in Child Development.  I have had the experience of working in preschools and elementary schools, and I have devoted many hours of volunteer time in the classrooms when my children were in school.

I have been married for 23 years, and we have 3 beautiful children. I also have a Chihuahua Pug dog named Lacey. When I can, I love to read and take walks. I also like to bird watch.
