Ann Allyn

I am an Idaho native—born in Boise and raised in eastern Idaho, returning to attend Boise State University and have called Boise my home for many years. My professional journey has spanned a career in high tech as a global marketing and business leader, a role that allowed me to work with incredible teams worldwide. Now, I enjoy the freedom of mostly retirement while consulting in marketing and business strategy from time to time.

I am deeply committed to educational equity and have been an advocate for Giraffe Laugh since its founding in 1989. The mission of Giraffe Laugh is more critical now than ever, and I am thrilled to serve as a board member. I am also passionate about advancing diversity, equity and inclusion, having been a founding member of initiatives within HP and Micron. I am currently also on the board for the Discovery Center of Idaho and volunteer for the Women’s and Children’s Alliance.

My husband and I cherish Idaho’s natural beauty—we love skiing, backpacking, and spending time on the rivers. He also enjoys stargazing and astrophotography, and I happily join as an enthusiastic viewer of his astronomy pursuits. We also love to travel and spend time with family, including our two-year-old granddaughter. I am slowly learning Italian (piano, piano as the Italians say) and the same goes for pickleball.
