September is reminiscent of school shopping, apples, fresh corn, crisper air and earlier night time. As we begin to settle in for fall weather the heat of summertime still clings and reminds us of the lovely, lazy days behind us. This transition is beautiful in Boise as we have four distinct seasons and moving from one to the next is both bittersweet and a reminder that time flies for us all.
Our kids are all moving from one classroom to another and their season of new adventures begins. With it comes some tears and adjustment, and that’s just the parents. Our kids are excited and thrilled to move with their friends to the next level with treasured teachers both new and old.
We are especially proud of all of our programs that support children and families in their learning journey. However, we have to call out our Giraffe Laugh on Market Lane, GL4 headed by Laura Hernandez and Jackie Galligan. They just achieved a five star rating through Idaho STARS Steps to Quality which is the highest rating possible without being accredited.
STEP 5: Thriving as a childcare business and nurturing all children with quality early care and education experiences.
At this step, programs are integrating weekly documentation of the children in their care, putting inclusion and Strengthening Families framework into practice are thriving as a child care business, nurturing all children with quality early care and education experiences.
Additionally, two of their teachers, Marisol and Amanda, earned their Child Development Associates degrees CDA’s this summer. We are so proud of the work this center and the teachers have done to ensure quality for all of our children. It is people like these ladies that make our work so important and possible. They are truly changing lives while ensuring school readiness, empowering families and building strong futures
Welcome back to school everyone. We wish you the best in your new classrooms and look forward to celebrating all of the fall events that are quickly approaching.
