I grew up in a small town in Oregon and found my way to Boise in my early 20’s. I strongly believe every child should have the opportunity to grow and thrive in a safe nurturing environment. My favorite moment is when a child grasps on to a concept that they have been struggling with. Having the privilege to witness the pride they feel in their accomplishment brings me the greatest amount of joy. I was a single mom with next to no education and an amazing passion for working with children when I saw an ad for a preschool teacher at Giraffe Laugh in the North End. I fell in love with the children, the staff and Lori. Since arriving at Giraffe Laugh in 2000, I have obtained my child development associates, an associate degree in early childhood education, a bachelor’s degree with certificate’s in leadership and human relations as well as habilitative services. My passion is providing a safe, healthy learning environment for children and families regardless of their ability to pay. One of my favorite parts of my job is giving tours of our program. I love spreading the word and sharing my love of Giraffe Laugh.
We can see the future from here!
